Neuroaffirming Practices:
Supporting ADHD and Autistic Clients
As more clients explore the possibility of ADHD and/or Autism, it's become more apparent that grad school didn't prepare us. In this training we will identify the nuanced presentations of ADHD and Autism, neuroaffirming language, and therapeutic skills to best support your clients.
Objective:
- Apply neurodivergent-affirming language in clinical settings to foster inclusive and supportive communication with clients.
- Differentiate the characteristics of ADHD, autism, and other co-occurring mental health conditions to improve diagnostic clarity and individualized treatment approaches.
- Integrate supports for key traits with tailored therapeutic strategies to address clients’ unique experiences and needs.
- Implement sensory accommodating strategies for a neurodivergent-affirming therapeutic environment, ensuring accessibility, comfort, and empowerment for neurodivergent clients.

MEET YOUR TRAINER, JAMIE ROBERTS
Jamie Roberts (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who actively shares her experience with later in life diagnosis of ADHD & Autism.
Jamie is the founder of NeuroPebble, a neuroaffirming clinical training platform, founder of Equilibrium Counseling Services, author of Neurodiversity for Teen Girls and Mindfulness for Teen Anxiety, and is an active speaker on Neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ and Teen topics.

When is the registration deadline?
Registration fee is $199 and must be paid and registration completed 24 hours prior to the start of the training. You will register by clicking the payment link on this page.
Will the sessions be recorded?
Yes. This session will be recorded and available for replay.
What is the cancellation policy?
You are able to cancel and receive a full refund by contacting the host at jennifer@counselingcommunity.com or 913-346-7262. Any cancellations with less than 48 hours notice there will be no refund.
How do I receive the CE Certificate?
Full attendance and completing of the evaluation are required to receive your CE certificate. Your CE certificate will be automatically emailed to you upon completion of the evaluation.

The social work consultant will be involved in the resolution of any complaints about the speaker or course content, and the resolution of any complaints that escalate to a formal grievance for social workers.
