Learning Objectives:
Recognize the unique experiences that the BIPOC client brings to the therapy space.
Create treatment that can assist BIPOC clients in preparing themselves to move in the positive directions they want to go.
identify with BIPOC clients the importance of mental health as apart of complete wellness.
Create outline, apply, and utilize skills that can benefit BIPOC client’s self-esteem, communication, mood, and responses in general.
This training will help therapists:
Help therapists evaluate and analyze parenting styles and family of origin issues of BIOPC clients and how they can create generational trauma, impact their mental health, self-esteem, and responses to relationships and life in general.
Help therapists develop effective and meaningful treatment goals for BIPOC clients.
Recognize and discuss the role of codependency plays with BIPOC clients.
Prepare therapists to assist the BIPOC client in applying positive coping skills to improve their moods, identify generational trauma and authoritarian parenting styles, and create more connected, meaningful relationships with family, friends, and themselves.

Pamela Lomax Tippit is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). She holds an M.S. in counseling psychology from Alabama A&M University and a B.A. from the University of Alabama. Before starting Blissful Mind Behavioral Health in March 2018. Ms. Tippit worked for over 18 years serving diverse populations and clients ranging from children to seniors. Her varied experience in community mental health, hospital, and school settings have provided the perfect foundation for providing comprehensive therapy services in the private practice setting. She is passionate about helping clients build resilience and becoming emotionally intelligent and strong so that they have the possibility to live the positive and productive lives that we are all destined for. Ms. Tippit provides services that help give all clients the tools, encouragement, and information to live in a way that uplifts them in their life journey and helps them find bliss along the way.
