If you’ve ever struggled to integrate EMDR or other treatment modalities in a way that truly honors the cultural, racial, and identity-based experiences of your clients, this cruise training is for you.
One of the most important truths I share with the therapists I support is this:
“We do not force EMDR on our clients—we find EMDR with our clients.”
As culturally humble clinicians, we are not just facilitators of EMDR—we are collaborators in our clients’ healing. And yet, for many therapists, integrating EMDR into clinical practice can feel overwhelming. Most basic trainings fail to equip us with the tools to navigate the nuanced intersections of race, culture, and identity. That gap can leave even the most committed clinicians feeling unsure about how to proceed.
What I’ve found is that clients connect more easily with what feels familiar than with what feels foreign. That insight is at the heart of this training.
During our time together, you’ll learn to integrate EMDR and/or other treatment modalities with deeper confidence, cultural awareness, and authenticity using the A.D.D.R.E.S.S.I.N.G. framework. You’ll explore how to:
Articulate the EMDR process with cultural humility
Delve into the impact of race, culture, and identity on nervous system responses
Deliver culturally resonant resources through the “Flip the Script” approach
Reflect on client history with the Race, Culture, and Identity Questionnaire
Strengthen the adaptive neuro-network before addressing traumatic events
But this journey isn’t only about how you show up for others—it’s also about how you show up for yourself.
We’ll also set sail inward—exploring how our own invisible wounds show up in the ways we help, heal, and lead.
Using powerful, experiential Inner Child Healing practices, you’ll reconnect with the parts of yourself that may still carry unspoken pain, unmet needs, or limiting beliefs. Whether you’re a therapist, coach, or business owner, these hidden wounds shape how you serve—and how you thrive.
This is your opportunity to pause, heal, and realign not just with your professional mission, but with the whole you behind the work.
You’ll return home not only trained—but transformed.
